200 Countries Over 200 Years in 4 Minutes

Brilliant, love this sort of creative thinking and usage of stats. Makes it so interesting and easy to understand....

Cut working week to 21 hours, urges think tank

BBC News - Cut working week to 21 hours, urges think tank

Now this I like. About as likely to happen as me walking on the moon, but still, it's the thought that counts. And no implication to the employers at all. Now all we need is for dads to have the full 12 months paternity leave (I'm not sure the current government guidelines quite cover this!) and it's all tickity-boo!

I'm wondering how many working hours the Think Tank involved took to come up with this?

Buzzzzz

Hmmmm, Buzz(ing) seems to have dropped off after the initial frenzy(?). Barely any Buzzes about this morning. Quite a lot coming out of SE Asia though which is quite interesting. US has a few. Canada seems dead which is strange considering they have the Winter Games starting there this weekend.
It would seem that there's a 24 hour lifetime on buzzes so they become time zone dependent too to a certain degree.

Buzz

Trying to keep up with the social stuff that keeps appearing. Here's Google's latest offering! Google Buzz
Not sure how it'll fair against the big boys but only time will tell. Sits in your Gmail like a regular message and I can use it from my phone on Gmaps. The geographical info makes it all quite interesting. We'll see what happens!
